The Sacramento County Health Department cited two local restaurants, K Fusion Eats and Kindred Seoul, for numerous health code violations following routine inspections conducted on January 20, 2026. Both establishments received yellow placards, indicating non-compliance with food safety regulations, and are required to address the issues to avoid further penalties.
K Fusion Eats Inspection Findings
Located at 5301 Power Inn Rd #100, Sacramento, CA 95820, K Fusion Eats specializes in Asian fusion cuisine. The inspection revealed several significant violations. Notably, the owner could not provide a valid food manager certificate during the inspection. Additionally, food handler cards for six employees were not available for review.
Among the more troubling findings, an employee’s beverage was found stored improperly on top of a three-compartment sink, while another open drink was placed on bags of onions within the kitchen. Furthermore, sausages in a warmer were recorded at 115°F, which is below the safe holding temperature after being stored for around 1.5 hours.
Other critical violations included cooked rice noodles at 68°F left on a counter and a sticky rice product in a rice cooker measuring 136°F without power. Additionally, a bucket of chicken soup was stored improperly in a refrigerator with the lid on, and a container of cooked chicken wings was cooling at 46°F.
The inspection also noted improper storage of ice scoops, with handles in direct contact with ice, and inadequate temperature regulation at the restroom faucets, which registered a maximum of 66°F. Other issues involved a lack of thermometers in coolers, a mop sink faucet without an anti-siphon device, and unsatisfactory conditions in the dumpster area.
Kindred Seoul’s Health Code Violations
Kindred Seoul, situated at 1215 O St, Sacramento, CA 95814, focuses on homestyle Korean cuisine infused with street food influences. The inspection report indicated that the establishment lacked an employee with a valid California Manager’s Food Safety Certification, marking this as a repeat violation.
Additionally, beverages without proper lids were found stored in both a walk-in cooler and a four-door upright cooler. The hand sink on the serving line was devoid of paper towels, while the cook’s line hand sink lacked both soap and paper towels, further compromising hygiene standards.
Temperature violations were also recorded, with cooked noodles on ice measuring 60°F and raw beef patties in a cold drawer registering 54°F. Raw chicken was improperly stored above cabbage in the cooler, and a dripping pipe was noted underneath the three-compartment sink. Further, the employee restroom was found lacking toilet paper.
Both restaurants were issued yellow placards, necessitating a follow-up inspection within 24 to 72 hours after the initial assessment. To receive a green placard signifying compliance, they must rectify all cited violations.
