sunrise-bistro-expands-to-goose-creek-with-new-location

A well-known dining establishment, Sunrise Bistro, is preparing to open a new location in Goose Creek this winter, offering its beloved comfort food to the local community. The bistro, owned by Brian Appelt, will occupy the site at 216 St. James Avenue, previously home to the Bangkok Restaurant and St. James Place. This expansion marks a significant milestone for the growing franchise, which has already established a presence in several nearby towns.

According to restaurant broker Mike Santos of the Commonwealth Company, the 2,580-square-foot space was listed on ListingLedge.com. Appelt expressed optimism about the new location, stating, “It’s a good location – St. James Avenue. St. James Place used to be there and that was a breakfast, lunch and dinner spot as well.” He added that there is currently no Sunrise Bistro in Goose Creek, making this an ideal opportunity given the area’s rapid growth.

The new venue will feature a striking sign with bold black lettering illuminated by halo lighting, ensuring visibility for potential customers. The menu will reflect the bistro’s signature offerings, including hearty breakfast items such as the Hungry Howie plate, Nancy’s French Toast, and the French Toast Sandwich. More substantial dishes include the Country Fried Steak Plate, Enchilada Rancheros, and a loaded Breakfast Burrito. Guests can also enjoy classic Southern flavors with options like the Grits Bowl and housemade corned beef hash.

Menu Highlights and Community Engagement

For lunch, patrons can look forward to standouts such as the Basil Bacon Grilly Cheese, corned beef Reuben, and Chicken Philly. Seafood lovers will have a variety of choices, including the Sunrise Po’ Boy, a fish and shrimp platter, and a crab cake sandwich. Lighter options like the Bistro House Salad and Strawberry Goat Cheese Salad will also be available, catering to diverse tastes.

The restaurant’s interior will embody a light and vibrant atmosphere, featuring a mural that highlights the essence of Sunrise Bistro. Appelt shared his enthusiasm, stating, “I’m excited about bringing our local vibe to different towns. It’s great to see the communities that we build in each of our locations.”

Having first opened in 2009, Sunrise Bistro currently operates in several locations, including Mount Pleasant, Johns Island, downtown Charleston, and Summerville. While an official opening date for the Goose Creek location has yet to be announced, the team is targeting late December or early January for the launch. Interested patrons can stay updated by visiting the Sunrise Bistro website or following their social media channels.

This expansion not only highlights the bistro’s growth but also its commitment to connecting with new communities, bringing its unique culinary offerings and distinctive atmosphere to Goose Creek’s dining scene.
