AC/DC legend Angus Young enjoys lunch at The Reveley, right, before thrilling young fan Noah Gianotti.
AC/DC lead guitarist Angus Young delighted fans during a casual lunch in Perth on March 2, 2024. Young was spotted enjoying a meal at The Reveley in Elizabeth Quay alongside his wife, Ellen Young. The couple spent approximately 45 minutes to an hour dining, with Young opting for a dish accompanied by chips and salad.
As word spread of Young’s presence, a crowd of eager fans gathered outside the restaurant, hoping for a glimpse of the rock icon. Dressed in a simple grey T-shirt and jeans, Young was approached by a young admirer who called out, “Mr Young, could you sign this please?” The young fan, Noah Gianotti, an eight-year-old from Yokine, exhibited courage and enthusiasm, which led to several others requesting autographs. Young graciously obliged, leaving Gianotti with two guitar picks as a memorable keepsake.
Young’s visit to Perth follows a thrilling performance at the sold-out Optus Stadium concert just two days earlier on February 29. The band has been active in the area, making appearances around the city since arriving on February 27. They are set to perform another sold-out show at the same venue on March 4, 2024, before heading to Brisbane.
Fans have taken to social media to share their excitement about Young’s warm interactions, highlighting his approachability and willingness to engage with supporters. For many, meeting a legendary musician like Young is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and his charm has left a lasting impression on those who gathered at Elizabeth Quay.
As AC/DC continues their tour, the band’s presence in Australia remains a significant draw for fans and music enthusiasts alike, ensuring that their performances and personal appearances are met with enthusiasm and admiration.
