Calvin Harris and his wife, Vick Hope, have welcomed their first child, a son named Micah, into the world. The couple announced the birth, which took place on July 20, 2023, with Harris expressing his admiration for his wife following their water birth experience.

In a touching Instagram post, the renowned DJ described Vick as a “superhero,” expressing gratitude for her strength and wisdom during the birthing process. Alongside a series of photos, including a graphic image of the placenta being transformed into capsules, he wrote, “Micah is here! My wife is a superhero, and I am in complete awe of her primal wisdom! Just so grateful. We love you so much, Micah.” Vick also shared a moment from the occasion on her own Instagram Story, simply captioning it “My boys.”

The couple first revealed Vick’s pregnancy during her radio show on BBC Radio 1 in May 2023. She stated, “I should probably also say this is my final week before I go on maternity leave.” Her co-host, Jamie Laing, praised her, saying, “You’re an amazing friend, an amazing person, and you’re just going to be an amazing mum.”

A Magical Wedding Celebration

Calvin, aged 41, and Vick, aged 35, tied the knot in a picturesque outdoor ceremony at Hulne Priory in Northumberland in September 2023. The wedding was memorable, with guests including television personality AJ Odudu and DJs Vernon Kay, Scott Mills, and Jordan North enjoying a Glastonbury-style reception. Notably, Nile Rodgers and his band Chic flew in from the United States to perform for the couple and their guests.

During the wedding vows, Calvin promised to be Vick’s “teammate, best friend and companion for life.” Vick reciprocated with a heartfelt message, saying, “The pure, unadulterated euphoria I was seeking when we met? I found it instantly in you. I promise to keep us laughing together and to keep us meditating on and glowing in it every day for the rest of our lives.”

The reception featured unique touches, including teepees for guests to relax and a variety of food trucks serving different cuisines, such as burgers, pizzas, and Nigerian dishes. Nile kickstarted his performance with Luther Vandross’ classic “Never Too Much,” followed by a mix of hits from artists like Madonna, David Bowie, Beyoncé, and Pharrell Williams, culminating with his own song “Good Times.”

To conclude the evening, guests were treated to a spectacular 10-minute fireworks display, and 80 tents were set up for those wishing to camp overnight. A source close to the couple remarked, “Calvin and Vick’s wedding was a day none of their guests will ever forget.”

The arrival of their son Micah adds another joyful chapter to the couple’s journey, and fans eagerly await to see what this new family dynamic holds for them.
