Fans of the comedy series Our Flag Means Death now have the opportunity to acquire unique memorabilia from the show, which was cancelled by HBO Max in early 2022. An online auction hosted by Heritage Auctions features a variety of props and costumes from the series, allowing enthusiasts to bid on items that were integral to the show’s quirky charm.

The auction, part of Heritage’s HBO Mashup event, includes items not only from Our Flag Means Death but also from popular series such as Barry, Big Little Lies, Curb Your Enthusiasm, White House Plumbers, and Perry Mason. Bidders can find an array of items, including “Wanted” posters for the character Blackbeard, played by Taika Waititi, along with various pirate swords, daggers, and pistols. Notably, the auction features the mermaid tail worn by Rhys Darby’s character, Stede Bonnet, during a significant dream sequence in Season 2.

Several costume pieces are also available, with some of Stede’s elaborate coats and Blackbeard’s battle gear included in the lots. As of now, many items are starting at just $1, making it accessible for fans eager to own a piece of the show. The standout item so far is a set of wedding toppers featuring Stede and Blackbeard from Season 2, which has surpassed $1,000 in bids. The auction is set to conclude on August 23, 2025.

In addition to this auction, the fan community for Our Flag Means Death has previously showcased its dedication through events such as the Our Flag Means Death Craft Fair, held in February and March of 2025. This 19-day fundraiser successfully raised $105,000 for the Campaign for Southern Equality’s Trans Youth Emergency Project. The craft fair featured handmade items, including embroidery and jewelry, with many pieces created by fans. Notably, donations from the cast and crew added to the event’s success, including a teapot donated by series creator David Jenkins and a prop adorned with Taika Waititi‘s doodles during filming.

With both the auction and the craft fair, fans demonstrate their passion for Our Flag Means Death, creating a vibrant community that continues to celebrate the series long after its cancellation.
