The reunion concerts of the iconic band Oasis have drawn significant crowds in Manchester, with local police commending fans for their responsible behaviour. During the concert on July 16, 2025, while there were 12 arrests for various offences such as fraud and drug possession, the overwhelming majority of attendees remained trouble-free, according to the Greater Manchester Police.

Assistant Chief Constable Matt Boyle expressed gratitude for the fans’ conduct. “We are now three concerts into Oasis’ Manchester homecoming, and I am pleased that the overwhelming majority of people attending have enjoyed themselves sensibly and responsibly,” he stated. He highlighted the police’s high-visibility presence throughout the events, which has been crucial in maintaining order and providing assistance.

Officers have addressed several issues, including seizing unauthorized drones and arresting individuals attempting to enter the venue illegally. Additionally, police collaborated with the ambulance service to support those in need during the concerts. Boyle noted that neighbourhood teams engaged with local residents to address any concerns and facilitate appropriate solutions.

As the weekend approaches, authorities advise attendees to stay updated with information from various sources, including the Bee Network and Manchester City Council. Boyle urged concert-goers to seek assistance from officers on-site if needed.

In line with the high demand for tickets, data from ticketing platform viagogo revealed that fans in London purchased slightly more tickets than those in Manchester. However, when considering population size, Manchester fans led in ticket purchases per capita. Following these two cities, the top ticket-buying regions included Essex, Surrey, and Kent.

The eagerness of fans to see the Gallagher brothers perform extends beyond the UK, with many willing to travel great distances. The top international destinations for fans include New Jersey, California, Toronto, Chicago, Mexico City, and Buenos Aires.

The excitement surrounding the band has also been reflected in merchandise sales. Following the drop of their collaboration with Adidas on June 20, viagogo reported a 35% increase in ticket searches for Oasis, showcasing the enduring popularity of the legendary group.

As the concerts continue, both police and fans are hopeful for a safe and enjoyable atmosphere, allowing the music to take centre stage.
