Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have finalised their divorce settlement, three months after Kidman filed for divorce in a Nashville court, citing “irreconcilable differences.” The former couple, who married in Sydney in 2006, have reached an agreement that includes a detailed parenting plan for their two teenage daughters.

According to court documents obtained by reputable sources such as People and Page Six, both Kidman and Urban, aged 58, have waived all spousal and child support rights. Reports indicate that both have monthly incomes exceeding $100,000. Furthermore, they will divide their property, including vehicles, household items, and financial assets, based on mutual agreement, retaining what is currently in their possession.

Parenting Plan Focuses on Stability for Daughters

The parenting plan outlines key responsibilities for their daughters, Sunday Rose Kidman-Urban, 17, and Faith Margaret Kidman-Urban, 15. It emphasizes the need for both parents to maintain a loving and nurturing environment, despite their separation. The agreement specifies that Kidman and Urban must refrain from speaking negatively about each other and should encourage their children to have a positive relationship with both parents.

The language in the settlement aligns with typical Tennessee divorce agreements. Under the terms, Kidman will have custody of their daughters for 306 days each year, while Urban will have them for 59 days. This arrangement allows Urban to spend time with his daughters every other weekend, from Saturday morning to Sunday evening.

The divorce process in Tennessee mandates a waiting period of at least 90 days before finalisation, which has now been fulfilled. A court hearing was scheduled for Tuesday, although Kidman waived her right to appear.

Personal Reflections and Professional Transitions

2024 marked a significant year for both Kidman and Urban, filled with personal and professional changes. Kidman recently experienced her first Christmas without Urban since their marriage in 2006. They first met at the G’Day USA Gala in January 2005 and became engaged in May 2006.

The couple’s last public appearance together was at the 2025 Academy of Country Music Awards in Texas, where Urban acknowledged Kidman during his acceptance speech for the Triple Crown Award, expressing his love for her in front of the audience.

The past few years have also seen notable developments in their careers. Urban made headlines in January 2025 after parting ways with three long-time band members ahead of his world tour. Kidman’s work has included starring in the erotic thriller Babygirl and the Netflix series The Perfect Couple.

In September 2024, she received the Best Actress award at the Venice Film Festival for her role in a film, although the occasion was overshadowed by the recent passing of her mother, Janelle Kidman, at the age of 84. Kidman expressed her grief publicly, stating, “I’m in shock, and I have to go to my family,” while dedicating her award to her mother.

As both Kidman and Urban navigate this new chapter in their lives, their focus remains on providing a stable and loving environment for their daughters amidst the changes.
