Pop-soul singer Olivia Dean made a remarkable impact at the BRIT Awards held on March 11, 2026, in Manchester, claiming three prestigious awards. Her accolades included Artist of the Year, Album of the Year for her second studio album, The Art of Loving, and Pop Act. Dean, 26, expressed her gratitude during her acceptance speech, stating, “Making this album has changed my life. This album is just about love and loving each other in a world that feels loveless right now.”

The evening also featured notable performances and tributes. Sam Fender won the Song of the Year for “Rein Me In,” a collaboration with Dean. Rock band Wolf Alice took home the award for Group of the Year, while Lola Young captured the title of Breakthrough Artist.

The event recognized significant contributions to the music industry. Ozzy Osbourne, the late frontman of heavy metal band Black Sabbath, was honored posthumously with a Lifetime Achievement Award. Osbourne passed away in July 2023 at the age of 76, shortly after the band’s emotional farewell concert. His wife, Sharon Osbourne, praised him in her tribute, saying, “Ozzy was authentic, he was gifted, totally unpredictable, a wild man, he was a true artist.”

Internationally acclaimed artist Rosalia was recognized as the International Artist of the Year. In her acceptance, she celebrated diversity in music, saying, “Let’s keep celebrating the otherness, let’s keep celebrating different music, different cultures, different languages.”

This year’s BRIT Awards marked a historic moment as it was the first time the ceremony took place outside London, reflecting the evolving landscape of the British music scene. Alongside Dean, the awards recognized several other talented artists. Noel Gallagher was named Songwriter of the Year, while PinkPantheress became the first woman to receive the Producer of the Year award at just 24 years old.
