During California’s recent wildfire crisis, actress Zoë Kravitz revealed that singer Taylor Swift graciously offered her Beverly Hills mansion as a refuge. In a candid interview on *Late Night With Seth Meyers*, Kravitz, 36, described how she and her mother, Lisa Bonet, 55, took shelter in Swift’s luxurious home, valued at approximately $25 million.

Kravitz recounted their two-week stay in the mansion, which was originally built in the 1930s. “Taylor has this beautiful house. It’s from the ’30s, something you want to preserve and take care of,” she said, highlighting her appreciation for the property. Unfortunately, during their visit, an unexpected mishap unfolded in Swift’s bathroom.

While attempting to tidy up, Kravitz received a call from Bonet, who was in a peculiar situation. “I found my mother crouched in the corner in this weird way,” she explained. Bonet had been washing her face when she placed her pet snake, Orpheus, down for a moment. The snake discovered a small hole in the corner and became trapped within the wall behind a built-in banquette.

Efforts to rescue Orpheus led to a chaotic scene. Kravitz described how they scrambled to retrieve the snake, which only resulted in pushing it further into the structure. Eventually, Swift’s house manager arrived with a crowbar to dismantle the banquette. “We’re ripping up the tile. We’re scratching the walls. Completely destroyed Taylor’s bathroom,” Kravitz admitted. Faced with the choice of damaging the bathroom or confessing to Swift about the snake, she opted for the former, assuring the house manager, “I’m gonna pay for everything to be fixed.”

When Kravitz finally called Swift to discuss the incident, the singer was already aware of the situation. “I remember calling her saying, ‘Hey, I wanted to talk to you about something.’ And she was like, ‘Is it the fact that you almost lost a snake in my house and destroyed my bathroom?'” Kravitz shared, laughing about the exchange.

The two have been friends for over a decade, collaborating on several of Swift’s songs, including the hits “Karma” and “Lavender Haze” from 2022. Kravitz fondly recalled attending Swift’s sold-out Eras tour in London, describing the simple pleasures of spending time together afterwards. “What is weirder actually to me is that after she performs for however many thousands of people… she just comes over after, and like, we drink some wine, and like, eat a burger, and like, hang out,” she said, highlighting their close friendship.

This lighthearted incident amid a serious crisis underscores the strong bond between Kravitz and Swift, showcasing the support and camaraderie that can be found even in unexpected situations.
