RangeCare has introduced a new initiative aimed at promoting community and connection among seniors with its weekly gathering, Coffee Club Connect. Held every Thursday from 09:30 to 13:00 at the Maleny RSL, this café-style event is designed to provide a welcoming space for older adults to gather, share stories, and build friendships.

According to Rebecca Whitaker, Marketing Manager at RangeCare, “Coffee Club Connect is more than coffee, tea, and lunch. It’s a place to belong.” The initiative focuses on creating an environment where guests are treated with kindness and dignity. Attendees can expect not only refreshments but also a warm atmosphere conducive to meaningful conversations.

At the heart of Coffee Club Connect is the idea of community. Participants are encouraged to engage with one another, whether they arrive with friends or on their own. “Laughter is shared, stories are exchanged, and friendships are formed,” Whitaker explains. This inclusive setting aims to ensure that everyone feels seen and valued.

Relationships play a crucial role in overall wellbeing, and RangeCare emphasizes this by fostering opportunities for genuine interactions. Whitaker states, “We focus on creating opportunities for meaningful connection—not just small talk, but real conversations that nourish the soul.” Through shared meals, creative activities, and open discussions, attendees can explore new interests and form deeper connections.

The initiative also promotes empowerment among participants. Coffee Club Connect encourages independence and informed choices, providing a supportive environment where individuals can feel confident in shaping their own journeys. Those considering getting involved are invited to join, meet new people, and enjoy a good coffee in a friendly setting.

“Come along, bring a friend, and be part of something special,” Whitaker encourages. “Because your next chapter deserves more than just a quiet morning; it deserves connection, creativity, and community.” With this initiative, RangeCare is not only addressing the social needs of older adults but also enhancing their overall quality of life.
