saint-bibiana-aims-for-fourth-straight-win-at-uttoxeter

Saint Bibiana looks to secure her fourth consecutive victory in the Stan Price Memorial Handicap Hurdle at Uttoxeter on Sunday. Trained by Georgina Nicholls, the eight-year-old mare has been in impressive form this spring, winning her last three races. This includes a notable performance in June when she triumphed over Minella Rescue on the same course and distance.

In her latest outing, Saint Bibiana faces a tougher challenge, moving up seven pounds in the ratings following her previous win. With Olive Nicholls back in the saddle, she remains a strong contender. Minella Rescue, who is four pounds better off for this race, cannot be overlooked, as he has consistently shown form and will likely be a key player in the outcome.

Challengers in the Chase

The race card at Uttoxeter also features a competitive QuinnBet Handicap Chase, highlighting two formidable competitors: Village Master and Art Of Diplomacy. Trained by Warren Greatrex, Village Master has an impressive track record, winning eight of his ten starts over fences. He is aiming for a four-timer under jockey James Bowen. The expected increase in distance is anticipated to further benefit his chances.

Art Of Diplomacy, trained by Fergal O’Brien, is also in contention after achieving victory at Newton Abbot and another recent success at the same course. As he steps up in grade, he poses a potential threat to Village Master. O’Brien’s other entries, Young Buster and Manothepeople, should also be taken into consideration as they round out the competition.

Additional Highlights on the Card

In the 2.37 Uttoxeter race, last-time winners Leloopa and Realistic Optimism will compete in the steelbeamsderby.co.uk Handicap Hurdle. Jamie Snowden trains Realistic Optimism, who made a strong impression when breaking his duck over hurdles, indicating he has more to offer in upcoming handicaps. Leloopa, carrying the top weight, has demonstrated her prowess with three wins in her last four outings, making her a serious contender as well.

The earlier race at 1.37 Uttoxeter features Joseph O’Brien’s Dignam, who aims to follow up on his successful hurdling debut from the previous week. Brothers James and Sean Bowen are also well-represented throughout the card, highlighting a competitive day of racing.

Additionally, La Teste will host a six-furlong Listed race for two-year-olds at 2.55, with another Listed event scheduled for 3.30, where horses like Jokla are expected to perform well.

As the day unfolds, racing enthusiasts can look forward to an exciting lineup at Uttoxeter, featuring both seasoned competitors and promising newcomers.
