The 2025 U.S. Polo Assn. Palm Beaches Marathon in West Palm Beach, Florida, achieved remarkable success with over 6,100 runners participating from 29 countries and 46 states. This event marked the first time U.S. Polo Assn. served as the title sponsor, bringing a festive spirit to the race weekend held on December 16, 2025. The marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifier and received support from more than 200 volunteers, showcasing the community’s commitment to sporting events.

Ivan Gabriel Mafla Bolanos from Ecuador finished first overall in the marathon with a time of 2:37:56, having travelled over 15 hours to compete. Teresita Granados Solis, visiting from Costa Rica, won the women’s category with a time of 3:06:55, marking her third career marathon victory and second win in 2025. The marathon weekend included various events such as a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and Marathon Relay, further engaging participants and spectators alike.

Exciting Atmosphere and Community Engagement

The event garnered extensive media coverage, broadcasting live for five hours on WPBF 25 (ABC, West Palm Beach). Participants received commemorative performance race shirts and finishing medals inspired by the vibrant colors of The Palm Beaches. The first 135 marathon finishers received a special cap celebrating the United States Polo Association’s 135th anniversary.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, U.S. Polo Assn. hosted an interactive polo ball activation near the race expo stage. This provided guests an opportunity to engage with the brand’s heritage, allowing for memorable experiences throughout the weekend. “The U.S. Polo Assn. Palm Beaches Marathon race weekend reflected everything we value as a global sport and lifestyle brand,” stated J. Michael Prince, President and CEO of USPA Global/U.S. Polo Assn. He emphasized the inspiring sight of thousands of runners crossing the finish line and connecting with the brand.

According to Prince, the event not only showcased athleticism but also highlighted the spirit of Palm Beach County, a region that attracts visitors from around the globe. The U.S. Polo Assn. Palm Beaches Marathon also served a philanthropic purpose, raising funds for local organizations, including Palm Beach Roadrunners, Special Olympics Florida, and Quantum House.

Positive Impact and Future Plans

Kenneth R. Kennerly, CEO of K2 Sports Ventures, which manages The Palm Beaches Marathon, praised U.S. Polo Assn. for enhancing the event experience through their commitment to community and sport. “Their passion for fitness made 2025 a standout year for runners, walkers, and spectators alike,” he noted.

The race results showcased impressive performances across various categories. In the full marathon, the top male finishers included Charles Richardson from Wellington, Florida, with a time of 2:43:16, and Simon Boudreau from Canada at 2:43:59. Among the female finishers, Eryn Renehan from Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, completed the race in 3:19:28, followed closely by Alina Morrison from Palm Beach at 3:19:36.

In the half marathon, Tyler Bernier from Singer Island, Florida, secured the top male spot with a time of 1:18:39, while Emily Paradis from Fort Lauderdale won the female category at 1:23:55.
