Adyen, a leader in global financial technology, has introduced two new payment terminals, the S1E4 Pro and S1F4 Pro, expanding its offerings in the in-person payments market. Announced on November 6, 2025, these devices are designed to meet the demands of various sectors, including retail, food and beverage, hospitality, and beauty and wellness.

Robust Design for Challenging Environments

The S1E4 Pro is an all-in-one mobile point-of-sale (POS) device that boasts a durable design suitable for high-pressure environments, such as bustling restaurants and busy event venues. With an IP-65 rating for spill and dust resistance, along with a drop-proof capability of up to 1.5 meters, this terminal is built to endure the rigors of daily use. It features a 6.1-inch screen, a user-friendly hand strap, and is both PCI 6 certified and PCI 7 ready.

Equipped with a powerful processor and long-lasting battery, the S1E4 Pro supports seamless connectivity through 4G and Wi-Fi. It is capable of processing all major payment methods, including tap, insert, swipe, and QR code scanning. Additionally, running on Android 13, it allows merchants to integrate their existing business applications, streamlining operations from order-taking to payment processing.

Versatile Functionality with Integrated Printing

The S1F4 Pro enhances flexibility with its dual functionality as both a countertop POS and a portable terminal. When docked, it serves as a dedicated POS, while its mobile features enable transactions anywhere in-store. This terminal includes an integrated printer, significantly reducing customer wait times and improving service efficiency in busy retail settings.

With a larger 6.7-inch screen, full connectivity options (4G, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet), and the capability to manage loyalty programs, the S1F4 Pro is designed for continuous use. It also includes a fast Octa-core processor, a long-lasting battery, and both front and rear cameras, making it a versatile tool for modern businesses.

Enhancing the Customer Experience

Derk Busser, Vice President of Product at Adyen, stated, “This latest product update underscores our commitment to transforming the in-person payments experience. By listening closely to our customers, we’ve identified key gaps in our previous offerings and the industry. These new terminals are tailored to meet the unique operational demands of various sectors.”

Both terminals will be available for order starting in the first quarter of 2026 in regions including Europe, the United Kingdom, North America, New Zealand, and the United Arab Emirates. The rollout will extend to Mexico, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Singapore in the second quarter of 2026.
