Huawei FusionSolar convened over 1,200 partners and installers from around the globe on September 28, 2025, for its 4th and 5th Global Installer Summit held in Dongguan, China. The event focused on current trends in the photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage system (ESS) markets, providing a platform for participants to share strategies, success stories, and marketing insights aimed at fostering a brighter future for distributed energy.

During the summit, Zhou Jianjun, Vice President of Huawei and President of Global Marketing, Sales and Services of Huawei Digital Power, emphasized the pivotal role of installers as “the last-mile value creators and deliverers.” He articulated that the purpose of the summit was to communicate Huawei Digital Power’s strategies, showcase the latest technological advancements, and facilitate open dialogue among stakeholders in the industry.

Sun Xiaofeng, President of Smart PV & ESS Marketing and Sales Services at Huawei Digital Power, delivered a keynote address on the company’s culture and innovation system. He reiterated Huawei’s commitment to a customer-centric approach, focusing on digitalization, intelligence, and decarbonization. “We will continue to invest in cutting-edge technologies,” he stated, reinforcing the importance of collaboration with global partners to navigate future challenges.

In another session, Jack Tong, President of Global Residential and C&I Smart PV & ESS Business, outlined Huawei FusionSolar’s installer strategies. He described installers and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firms as essential in the transition from energy consumers to energy prosumers for both residential and commercial sectors. Huawei aims to streamline the business journey for installers, ensuring shared success among all parties involved.

The summit’s discussions also included insights from Allen Zeng, President of Technical Service & Operation at Huawei Digital Power. He highlighted four major trends affecting the industry: stricter safety standards, a rapidly expanding market, the growing significance of ESS, and the necessity for new growth engines. Zeng introduced a comprehensive service system aimed at simplifying installation and maintenance, offering professional technical support, and ensuring long-term profitability for installers.

The summit also featured the introduction of SmartDesign, an innovative online design tool presented by Wang Wenyuan, Chief Engineer of Smart PV Management System at Huawei Digital Power. This tool addresses common design challenges faced by installers, enabling them to create efficient, standardized designs in as little as ten minutes. SmartDesign supports a range of functions, including electrical design, 3D modeling, and generating detailed reports that illustrate the return on investment for system owners.

Throughout the event, participants engaged in dynamic discussions, sharing real-world applications and success stories that sparked innovative ideas and new collaboration opportunities. The summit concluded with a vibrant award ceremony for the Huawei FusionSolar Creators’ Cup, which celebrated the compelling narratives of green and low-carbon development shared by installers worldwide.
