Martin Scorsese has added another notable name to the cast of his upcoming film, What Happens At Night, a project in partnership with Apple. This film, based on Peter Cameron’s 2020 novel, is generating significant buzz ahead of its anticipated production.

What Happens At Night tells the story of an American couple who journey to a snowy European city to adopt a baby. They find themselves at the eerie and nearly deserted Borgarfjaroasysla Grand Imperial Hotel, where the bar is always open and the restaurant serves a thirteen-course dinner inspired by centuries past. The film, originally set to begin production in September 2023, marks yet another collaboration between Scorsese and Apple, following their successful partnership on previous projects.

The duo’s prior work includes Killers of the Flower Moon, which received ten Academy Award nominations, and the acclaimed five-part documentary Mr. Scorsese. Additionally, Scorsese made a memorable appearance in The Studio and featured in a promotional campaign for the iPhone 4S, showcasing the Siri voice assistant.
