1m-reward-offered-now-for-info-on-craigieburn-shooting

UPDATE: A stunning $1 million reward is now being offered for information related to the fatal shooting of Robert Issa in the Craigieburn shopping centre car park. This urgent appeal comes just days after five men were charged with murder and attempted murder in connection with the incident.

On October 7, 2023, at approximately 3 PM, Mr. Issa, aged 27, was shot while sitting in a white Mercedes station wagon in the Craigieburn Central Shopping Centre car park. Witnesses rushed to his aid, attempting CPR, but he tragically died at the scene. A second male occupant, now 30 years old, sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital.

Homicide Squad Detective Inspector Dean Thomas confirmed that five individuals—aged between 26 and 33—have been charged with murder and other serious offenses. Investigators allege these men executed the shooting, but they are keen to trace those who orchestrated and financed the attack.

“This offending involves more than just those in the car on the night—it’s the planning and the facilitators,” Inspector Thomas stated. “We believe there are others involved, which is why we are offering this substantial reward. Any tips leading to the apprehension and conviction of those responsible will be thoroughly investigated.”

Authorities have also indicated that the Director of Public Prosecutions may consider indemnification from prosecution for anyone providing information about the principal offender(s).

A burnt-out black Range Rover was discovered in Westmeadows shortly after the shooting, further intensifying the investigation’s complexity. Mr. Issa had known connections to organized crime groups, adding another layer of urgency to this case.

Police are urging anyone with information to come forward. Tipsters can contact Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000 or visit www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.

This reward aims to generate leads in a case that has rocked the Craigieburn community and raised questions about the involvement of organized crime. The clock is ticking, and authorities are ready to take action based on any new information that surfaces.

Time is of the essence—help bring justice to Robert Issa and his loved ones today.
