“Without Barkly, my life wouldn’t be complete,” Johns stated. This dynamic duo has been inseparable for over seven years, with Barkly serving as a trained service animal since he was just eight weeks old. Barkly’s gentle nature shines during therapy sessions, particularly with children, including those with autism. “When he’s not working, he’s a naughty puppy,” Johns shared, “but once he puts his jacket and lead on, he goes into work mode.” His ability to interact with kids, combined with his calm demeanor, makes him a standout in any setting.
