URGENT UPDATE: The highly anticipated Border’s Biggest Catwalk is set to take place on Friday, October 3, 2023, at The Lincoln in Wodonga. This spectacular fashion show, featuring five local fashion houses, aims to raise vital funds for Country Hope, an organization that supports regional families of children battling cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
Doors open at 6:30 PM for the 7:30 PM show, promising an evening of glamour, style, and purpose. Event organizer and MC Sharyn Bilston is excited about the unique blend of entertainment, including singing, dancing, and fashion. “It’s a wow event,” she stated. “We’ve got five fashion stores showcasing their best outfits for the new season, with items never seen on the Border before!”
Among the highlights is Livy B, the rising star and Australian Idol Top 21 finalist, who will both model and perform during the show. Bilston emphasized the community’s support in bringing this event to life, showcasing local talent and participation from volunteers.
The five participating fashion houses include Wild Things by Michelle, Addiction Albury, Petani Menswear, Leanne Bensley Millinery, and RB Sellers Rural Outfitters. Choreographed by Charli Ivic of Zumba with Charli, the show promises to be a remarkable visual feast.
Attendees can expect a diverse range of fashion, featuring boho styles, elegant denim, country attire, cocktail dresses, racewear, and formal suits. The ticket price of $75 includes hot and cold canapés and platters, alongside a raffle and auction to further support Country Hope.
Bilston passionately highlighted the importance of this charitable effort: “Country Hope is working tirelessly at the moment, with many unwell kids and families doing it tough. Life can crumble for any one of us, and it’s reassuring to know that Country Hope is there for families on the Border.”
