UPDATE: The annual Bigger Boobie Ball in Busselton has just concluded, raising an astonishing $60,000 for Breast Cancer Care WA. Held on November 8, 2023, at the picturesque Sabina River Farm, this event marks a record-breaking year, bringing the total funds raised since its inception to $150,000.

Drenched in pink, the event featured a vibrant mix of entertainment and emotional storytelling aimed at supporting those affected by breast cancer. Guests participated in a unique round of golf at the farm’s dam, using two giant inflatable breasts as targets, while enjoying a variety of food and drinks, live performances, and a bustling auction featuring generous donations from local businesses.

Co-organizers Heather Hunt and Carol Smith revealed that the event, originally known as the “Big Boobie Bash,” started in 2023 to celebrate Smith’s five-year milestone after cancer. Hunt stated, “It’s a wonderful thing we can do that allows everyone to enjoy themselves while raising funds at the same time.”

The community rallied together, with local caterers, entertainers, and suppliers offering their services either for free or at reduced rates, highlighting the incredible local support. “The community we live in is just incredible, with what people contribute, even down to the decorations,” Hunt added.

The event also featured heartfelt speeches, including one from the Shitty Titty Committee, a local breast cancer support group, who rang a commemorative bell to honor their journeys. This emotional moment resonated deeply with attendees, enhancing the event’s impact.

Hunt confirmed, “Each year, we sell out. We’re already planning what we might do next year.” As anticipation builds for next year’s event, ticket sales will begin as soon as the date is announced to ensure everyone has the chance to participate.

Stay tuned for more updates on next year’s Bigger Boobie Ball, as this key fundraiser continues to unite the Busselton community in support of breast cancer care.
