In a thrilling match, Kym Quinnel fought her way to the women’s singles final on October 15, narrowly falling to Susan Goode from Cabarita. Meanwhile, in the men’s singles, Louis Clark faced off against Paul Gray from Maclean in a hard-fought final, demonstrating skill and determination.
The excitement continued in the men’s state pairs final, where Club Byron’s dynamic duo, Troy Makin and Michael Anderson, battled fiercely but ultimately finished as runners-up against Josh McDonnell and Brian Eichorn from East Lismore.
This achievement comes on the heels of a recent trip to Nowra, where 14 bowlers from Byron Bay competed in the Grade 2 State Pennant finals. Although they did not secure titles, their performance against 15 other top clubs from across the state showcased the strength and resilience of the Club Byron bowlers.
