UPDATE: Dairy Australia has just announced two critical workshops aimed at empowering Murray dairy farmers ahead of the 2026 season. These sessions, led by renowned farm business consultant Tom Farran, will take place on January 23 in Tallangatta and January 30 in Numurkah, running from 10:45 AM to 2:30 PM.

Farmers are urged to participate as these workshops promise essential insights into enhancing farm resilience through strategic planning and effective decision-making. With the agricultural sector facing unprecedented challenges, this initiative is crucial for farmers looking to thrive.

During the hands-on sessions, participants will learn to utilize the Farm Environmental Tracker, a vital tool designed to help farmers evaluate their current practices. This innovative resource will pinpoint key areas for improvement, focusing on soil health, irrigation efficiency, energy usage, and animal welfare.

A recent attendee shared their experience, stating,

“This workshop helped us think more sustainably about our business. The tool highlighted areas to focus on, and we now have a clearer plan to improve soil health, irrigation efficiency, energy use, and animal welfare. It really gave us food for thought.”

Farmers will also have the unique opportunity to collaborate with peers, exchange strategies, and identify the biggest opportunities for growth. By participating, attendees can significantly enhance their operational efficiency and sustainability.
