Local performer Chad Rosete, who plays the character Travis, shared that audiences are thrilled to relive the nostalgia of the beloved film. “After the show, many fans tell us how much they loved the movie during their teenage years, and watching the musical brings back that same joyful feeling,” he remarked.

The plot follows Ren McCormack, a free-spirited teenager from Chicago who relocates to the small town of Bomont, only to discover that dancing is outlawed. Determined to revive the joy of dance, Ren sets out to change the town’s restrictive laws and bring hope to its residents.
Chad, who has a deep-rooted passion for musical theater, developed his love for performing at a young age and honed his skills at the Australian Institute of Music. Following his professional debut in Rent last year, he is excited to contribute to this encore production of Footloose. “We’re building on what we had before and making it even more refined and electric,” he stated.
Without giving too much away, Chad hinted at a surprise musical number that fans of the movie will not want to miss. “It’s a good surprise… I don’t think audiences will expect it,” he teased.
