UPDATE: The 30th annual Gembrook Classic and Custom Car Show took place on February 22, 2023, drawing a staggering 300 vehicles to the Gembrook Recreation Reserve. This milestone event from the Rotary Club of Emerald and District marked a significant evolution as it opened its gates to a wider variety of vehicles, including pre-1990 classic, custom, vintage, veteran, and hot rod cars.

Despite weather forecasts predicting rain, the shine of these classic cars captivated attendees, showcasing the passion and dedication of their owners. The event was a resounding success, transforming the previously known “The All American” show into a vibrant celebration of automotive history and culture.

Local automotive personality, known as Mr Excited, served as the primary judge for the show, lending his expertise to the awards presented. Prize winners included esteemed accolades such as Best Classic awarded to Adrian Slode and Best Hot Rod going to Peter Hariton. The Rotary President’s Choice award was claimed by Ron Ryan, while other notable awards recognized the talents of Joe Lamendola and James Creswell.

Throughout the day, local band Rustbucket kept the atmosphere lively, engaging spectators with energetic performances. Attendees enjoyed a variety of food options and swap meet stalls, creating a family-friendly experience that resonated with car enthusiasts of all ages.
