URGENT UPDATE: The 2025 Kaniva Show, held on October 14, 2025, has been declared a resounding success, bringing joy to attendees of all ages. Officially opened by Kim Dodson and her dog Banjo, the event captivated the community with a series of entertaining demonstrations and activities.

Kim Dodson showcased her working dog skills alongside Banjo, providing a thrilling experience for the crowd. Families were also delighted by the chance to meet Kim’s adorable puppies. The Kaniva Playgroup featured popular Pedal Tractors and funded the lively performance of Wozza and the Animals of Magic Mountain, which included singing, dancing, and adventure.

In a heartwarming moment, the title of Junior Show Ambassador was awarded to Ella Wallis, while young competitors showcased their talents across various age categories. The winners included:
6-9 Boys: William
3-5 Year Old Girls: Ruby Witmitz
3-5 Year Old Boys: Spencer Hicks
6-8 Year Old Girls: Hannah Gladdis
6-8 Year Old Boys: William Dodson
Young Ambassador Girls 9-12: Abby Hawker
Teen 13-15: Colby Champness

Kaye Bothe, Secretary of the Kaniva A and P Society, expressed her gratitude to everyone who supported the show: “To the patrons who came through the gates with smiles and laughter, you are the reason we do this. The Kaniva Show is all about community, connection, and celebration—and this year truly showed that.”

A standout moment came when Kerryn Golder won the prestigious Amy Pilgrim Memorial in the horses event, showcasing the talent and dedication of local competitors.

As the day concluded, the sounds of The Austins filled the air, and the crowd eagerly awaited the fireworks display, highlighting the strong sense of community that defines Kaniva.

The overwhelming success of the event was made possible through the hard work of numerous volunteers and sponsors who dedicated months of effort to bring this cherished community gathering to life.
