kyneton-community-house-urgently-seeks-volunteers-for-garden-revival

UPDATE: The Kyneton Community House is urgently calling for local volunteers to breathe life into its struggling community garden. Garden coordinator Jo McErvale announced today that with the arrival of warmer weather, the garden needs immediate attention, and more helping hands are essential.

“The garden has a large area that’s currently laid waste and needs rejuvenation,” McErvale stated. This vital initiative aims to restore the garden as the community prepares for an active growing season. Volunteers are needed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9 AM to 3 PM, but McErvale confirmed that the volunteering schedule can be flexible to accommodate various schedules.

The community garden has already seen significant improvements, including weeding, planting, mulching, and composting throughout winter. “The front garden is starting to come alive,” McErvale said, highlighting the progress made by the current dedicated team of volunteers. However, she emphasized that the task ahead is massive, and the success of the garden heavily relies on volunteer support.

“The more hands we have, the better we can get the place in shape,” she added. McErvale’s plea is clear: with the right support, the Kyneton Community House can transform its garden into a thriving space for the community.
