URGENT UPDATE: A significant leadership change is imminent at the Regional Development Australia Central Coast (RDACC) as Lisa Barnes has been appointed as the new CEO, effective October 6. This transition follows the resignation of John Mouland, who dedicated over 12 years to the role.

In a statement released earlier today, Gail Cottrill, Chair of RDACC, expressed enthusiasm for Barnes’ appointment, noting her extensive leadership experience and profound understanding of the Central Coast region. “Dr. Barnes brings substantial experience across the education and arts sectors, along with a proven track record as a Chief Executive Officer,” Cottrill said.

Barnes is expected to play a pivotal role in enhancing the Central Coast’s position as a prime investment and innovation destination. Her appointment is seen as crucial for driving regional economic and employment growth, particularly as the area continues to recover and evolve post-pandemic.

“Her skills, expertise, and understanding of the Central Coast will be invaluable as we continue to drive regional economic and employment growth,” Cottrill added. The RDACC Committee is optimistic that Barnes will connect key stakeholders to develop local solutions aimed at strengthening and expanding the regional economy.

As Mouland steps down, his leadership has left an enduring impact on both the organization and the Central Coast community. “John’s leadership and dedication over more than a decade has left an enduring impact on our organisation and the Central Coast community,” Cottrill stated. “On behalf of the Committee, we sincerely thank him for his service and wish him every success in his future endeavours.”

The RDACC is now looking forward to a new chapter under Barnes’ guidance, as the organization continues to champion the growth, resilience, and prosperity of the Central Coast region. With her extensive background and commitment to the area, the community is eager to see the innovative strategies she will implement.

Stay tuned for more updates as Barnes prepares to take office and outline her vision for the future of RDACC and the Central Coast.
