new-endometriosis-clinic-opens-in-werribee-by-early-2026

UPDATE: A new clinic dedicated to endometriosis and pelvic pain will open in Werribee by early 2026, providing crucial support for women and girls grappling with these debilitating conditions. This facility will be situated within the Werribee Medical and Dental Centre, and is part of a larger initiative by the federal government to enhance women’s healthcare across Australia.

The establishment of this clinic is timely, as federal estimates reveal that endometriosis affects at least 1 in 7 Australian women, with many facing delays of up to seven years for a diagnosis. This new clinic is one of 11 similar facilities being launched nationwide, contributing to a total of 33 clinics aimed at addressing the urgent healthcare needs of women.

The clinic will not only focus on endometriosis but also provide essential care for women experiencing perimenopause and menopause symptoms. According to Lalor MP Joanne Ryan, the clinic’s opening is a significant step forward for the community. “I hear from so many people in my community about the need for more specialised care in our region that meets the specific needs of women and girls,” Ms Ryan stated. “Endometriosis and pelvic pain can be debilitating; appropriate treatment can be life-changing.”

This initiative is part of the government’s Women’s Health Package, which is investing nearly $800 million to improve healthcare access for women and girls. The new clinic aims to offer locals better access, more choices, and reduced costs in managing these often misunderstood conditions.

As the clinic prepares for its opening, local residents are encouraged to share their experiences and needs to ensure the facility meets the community’s specific requirements. With developments like this, women in Werribee can look forward to receiving the specialized care they need, making an important impact on their quality of life.
