
BREAKING: The latest addition to Cairns Regional Council’s neighbourhood murals project has just been unveiled at Touch Park in Aeroglen, igniting excitement among local residents. This unveiling marks a significant moment for the community as it showcases the rich character of Aeroglen, just announced on September 7, 2025.
The mural, inspired by stories from the community and nominated by Cr Rob Pyne (Division 5), captures the essence of Aeroglen, making it a visual centerpiece for both residents and visitors. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, with community members expressing their enthusiasm on social media.

In addition, the final mural of the 2025 project is in progress at Endeavour Park in Manunda. Nominated by Cr Anna Middleton (Division 7), the amenities block will feature a vibrant piece by local artist Cam Scale. Titled ‘Grass Roots’, this mural emphasizes the community spirit and sporting culture of the region, depicting a child preparing for a free kick on one side and an attempted save on the other.
The project is designed to celebrate inclusivity and showcases players of all ages and backgrounds in proud Australian green and gold. The enthusiasm for this initiative is palpable, as it continues to foster community pride and engagement.
