BREAKING: In a thrilling finish at Globe Derby Park, Omnia has clinched victory in the $20,000 Aldebaran Park 2YO Trotters Southern Cross Final on December 21, 2025. Driven by Michael Smith and trained by Tyson Linke, Omnia surged ahead, finishing two metres clear of her nearest competitor, Helpisfaraway, marking a significant win for owner Tara-Shae Linke.

This stunning performance not only highlights Omnia’s potential but also validates Tara-Shae’s bold decision to breed her mare Consica with the unproven American stallion Volstead. The choice, made last minute against her brother’s initial plan, has resulted in an impressive first win for Omnia after just three career starts. Volstead, once standing at $3,000, now commands a fee of $16,500 due to his recent successes.

Tyson Linke remarked on the challenges faced in preparing Omnia for this pivotal race. “I felt we were about a week or two behind her rivals,” he stated. Despite initial concerns about her fitness, Omnia proved more than capable, leading the race with confidence.

The victory was just the beginning for the Linke family. Later that evening, Tara-Shae’s other horse, Coco Mia, also triumphed, winning the $9,999 Cobbitty Equine Farm 4YO & Older Mares Southern Cross Final by four metres over Delightfull Tammy. This marked Coco Mia’s 14th win from 33 starts.

As excitement builds, most of Omnia’s rivals are expected to return to Globe Derby Park for the upcoming $9,999 2025 Parker Classic, adding further anticipation for the next race.

Tyson Linke’s meticulous attention to breeding has paid off significantly, and as the family celebrates this success, they continue to support the promising careers of their horses. The Linkes’ dedication to their sport, paired with strategic breeding decisions, could redefine the future of trotting in the region.

Stay tuned for more updates as the racing season progresses and to follow Omnia’s journey in the upcoming events. This win is not just a personal achievement; it represents the hard work and passion of the Linke family and their commitment to excellence in horse racing.
