Over the course of three days, students will have the opportunity to engage with interactive tech displays and gain insight into WA’s vital minerals and materials. Participants can also compete in thrilling STEM challenges, designed to ignite their passion for science and technology.
Tim Day, BHP’s asset president of WA iron ore, noted, “It’s not just about rocks and trucks; it’s how you use technology to optimize operations.” This sentiment is echoed by Matthew Holcz, managing director of Pilbara Mines at Rio Tinto, who expressed hopes that the showcase will inspire future leaders in the industry.
