UPDATE: A police officer in Sydney has been dismissed from the force following shocking allegations of domestic violence involving multiple victims over a two-year period. Max Marshall, a 28-year-old probationary Constable, was arrested on December 3, 2023, at Silverwater Correctional Centre, facing serious charges that include stalking, detaining, and causing grievous bodily harm to a 21-year-old woman.

The allegations against Marshall span from 2023 to 2024, with charges including four counts of domestic violence-related assault, one of which involves grievous bodily harm. He is accused of stalking the victim between 1 AM and 4 AM on the day of the incident, leading to a brutal assault that required hospital treatment for injuries to her leg and face.

Authorities report that Marshall allegedly broke into the victim’s home with the intent to stalk and intimidate her, after which he was arrested at 1 PM. While in custody, he was reportedly found in possession of cannabis and weapons ammunition, leading to a total of nine charges against him. He was denied bail and remains in custody.

Marshall was officially dismissed from the NSW Police on December 5, just days after his arrest. His latest court appearance occurred at Burwood Court, where he did not apply for bail. The court has formally refused his bail request.

The two women involved in the case have filed applications for Apprehended Violence Orders to secure their protection. Marshall is set to appear in court again on December 17, as the judicial process continues to unfold.

These disturbing allegations highlight an urgent need for accountability within law enforcement and raise critical questions about the safety of domestic violence victims. The community is on high alert as more developments are expected in this ongoing case.
