Participants will embark on a magical 1.6 km route starting at Main Street Recreation Reserve, winding through Edgars Creek and Ziebell’s Farmhouse Museum, ultimately reaching the heart of the historic Westgarthtown pioneer precinct.
Whittlesea Mayor Martin Taylor is urging locals to come together for this family-friendly event, emphasizing community connection and creativity. “Walking Thomastown is a fantastic way to see our community in a new light,” he stated. “It’s a vibrant celebration of local stories, creativity, and connection that brings people together.”
This year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever, featuring a stunning array of large-scale light art, live music, and numerous photo-worthy moments. Attractions include the return of the beloved Neon Dog Park, projection art from emerging and First Peoples artists, and lively performances from fire-twirlers and stilt-walkers.
