
URGENT UPDATE: A car crashed into the roof of a barn in Bohmte, Germany, earlier today, injuring multiple people including a seven-year-old boy. The accident unfolded when the vehicle veered off a road, struck a parked car, and careened into a garden where it hit the boy who was on a trampoline.
According to police reports, the car, driven by a 42-year-old man, broke through a hedge and continued over uneven terrain, ultimately being propelled into the air before crashing onto the barn roof approximately three meters high. The boy sustained serious injuries, prompting an urgent response from emergency services.
The driver’s wife also suffered serious injuries in the incident, while their two sons, aged 11 and 12, and a 13-year-old passenger escaped with minor injuries. Emergency responders, including dozens of firefighters, twelve ambulances, and two rescue helicopters, rushed to the scene to assist the victims.
Images from the incident show rescuers working to cut through the barn roof to reach the car, which had to be removed using a crane. The playground where the boy was injured was also damaged during the crash.
