UPDATE: A devastating fire engulfed a shed and damaged solar panels at a property in North Wangaratta late Sunday night. Emergency services from the Country Fire Authority (CFA) and Fire Rescue Victoria rushed to the scene on Grossman Drive after receiving emergency calls at 10:55 PM on October 19.

Upon arrival, firefighters found the shed fully consumed by flames, with several solar panels on the roof also ablaze. The CFA spokesman confirmed that the situation was dire, stating, “Upon arrival, crews found a shed fully involved with fire.” Firefighters worked tirelessly, and the incident was brought under control by 11:16 PM and declared safe at 12:49 AM.

Authorities report that police were also on-site during the emergency response. Fortunately, investigators are not treating the fire as suspicious, but the exact cause remains under examination. The community is left shaken by these occurrences, highlighting the urgent need for safety measures in rural areas. As the investigation continues, residents are encouraged to remain vigilant and report any unusual activity in their neighborhoods.
