UPDATE: Melton Council is urgently encouraging cat owners to take advantage of limited-time discounts on crucial health services for their pets. In partnership with the Vet Project, the council is offering reduced rates for cat desexing, microchipping, and vaccinations over three days: December 17, 18, and 19, 2023, from 7:30 AM to 3 PM at the Melton Council Animal Pound.
This initiative is available exclusively to residents of Melton City Council, allowing each owner to bring up to two cats for the discounted services. With the rising need for responsible pet ownership, this program aims to improve the health and wellbeing of feline companions in the community.
Cat owners must provide proof of residency through a council rates notice and are required to book and pay for appointments online via the Paws App before the surgery date. The cost for desexing and microchipping combined is $75. For those looking to include vaccinations, the total comes to $120, and an additional flea/worm treatment can be added for $160.
Admit times are set from 7:30 AM to 8 AM each day, with discharge expected between 2 PM and 3 PM. This is a prime opportunity for Melton residents to ensure their pets receive essential health services at a fraction of the regular cost.
This program highlights Melton Council’s commitment to community health and responsible pet ownership. Residents are encouraged to act quickly, as appointments are limited and expected to fill fast.
