URGENT UPDATE: A 16-year-old boy sustained a “significant wound” to his back during a chaotic house party in Clayfield, Brisbane, late last night. The incident occurred on Oriel Road, the same location where Universal founder Greg Josephson was allegedly murdered earlier this year, raising immediate concerns in the community.

At approximately 9:30 PM on September 29, 2023, the teen was reportedly attacked by an unknown assailant who fled the scene before police arrived. Witnesses described a large gathering of young people at the party, which was dispersed by the Queensland Police Service (QPS) as a second disturbance erupted nearby on Brooke Street.

Emergency services quickly transported the injured boy from Eatons Hill to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, where he is currently in stable condition, having arrived shortly after 10:30 PM. Thankfully, no other injuries have been reported.

Authorities are urging anyone with information on the incident to come forward. “Someone should have information,” a police spokesperson stated. They are particularly interested in any relevant CCTV or dashcam footage that could assist with the investigation.

This alarming incident adds to the growing concern over safety at house parties in the area, following the tragic murder of Josephson earlier this year. Community members are on high alert as police continue their investigation into last night’s events.

As the investigation unfolds, residents are encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity. Stay tuned for further updates as this story develops.
