URGENT UPDATE: The Tugun Bypass Tunnel on the Pacific Motorway will experience multiple overnight closures throughout October due to essential maintenance. This critical work will commence on the nights of October 14, 15, 21, and 22, from 7 PM to 5 AM, aimed at minimizing disruptions for motorists.
During these closures, detours will be in place for all vehicle types. Northbound traffic will exit the M1 Pacific Motorway via the Kennedy Drive exit, navigating Sugarwood Drive to the Gold Coast Highway, then taking Tugun Currumbin Road to rejoin the motorway at the Stewart Road on-ramp. For southbound traffic, drivers should exit at Tugun Currumbin Road (Exit 95), follow the Gold Coast Highway, and use Cordyline Drive to return to the M1 at the Kennedy Drive on-ramp.
Motorists are encouraged to allow up to five minutes of additional travel time and to adhere to traffic conditions and control signage during these hours. The NSW Government has issued this notification to ensure that travelers are well-informed and can plan their routes accordingly.
Transport for NSW expresses gratitude towards motorists for their patience while this essential maintenance work is undertaken.
