UPDATE: Vietnam’s CT Group has just unveiled groundbreaking technology projects that are set to transform the global landscape of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and the Low Altitude Economy (LAE). In a stunning announcement made on December 29, 2025, during a ceremony at Hanoi’s Ho Guom Opera House, CT Group revealed plans for the UAV – ASEAN Super Headquarter Union and the ASEAN’s Largest Low Altitude Economy Center.

With over 600 distinguished guests in attendance, including high-ranking officials from various ministries, local authorities, and industry leaders, this event marks a pivotal moment for Vietnam’s technological ambitions. The strategic investments, totaling approximately VND 6,000 billion (around $250 million), aim to place Vietnam at the forefront of the UAV and LAE sectors.

CT Group’s CEO, Mr. Tran Kim Chung, emphasized the company’s commitment to innovation, stating, “We have proven our capacity to scale production and have boldly decided to invest in this project. Our partners recognize that we are a serious, steadfast enterprise.” This declaration comes as Vietnam seeks to solidify its standing as a leader in advanced technology.

The UAV – ASEAN Super Headquarter Union will serve as a “Technology City,” incorporating manufacturing plants, research institutions, and training facilities. This ambitious project aims to produce over 600 high-tech products and services, significantly boosting Vietnam’s competitive edge in the global tech arena.

In a remarkable demonstration of technological prowess, CT Group’s subsidiary, CT UAV, has achieved an average localization rate of 87.5% across six core UAV technology groups. Notably, their advancements in Electronics – Semiconductor and AI & Software Technologies have reached 95% autonomy.

The unveiling of three breakthrough technologies, including the “Magic Brush” for stable flight and autonomous swarm firefighting, showcases CT Group’s dedication to remaining at the cutting edge of the UAV market. As global demand for UAVs surges, CT Group’s five operational production plants are set to ramp up output to meet both domestic and international needs.

The backing of Tay Ninh Province, which has committed to facilitating CT Group’s operations, highlights the government’s support for advancing high-tech industries. Vice Chairman Mr. Doan Trung Kien stated, “The UAV – ASEAN Super Headquarter Union aligns perfectly with our high-tech industrial development roadmap.”

In addition to the UAV project, CT Group has announced a substantial investment in the ASEAN’s Largest Low Altitude Economy Center, strategically located near Tan Son Nhat Airport. This center will not only enhance Vietnam’s ability to attract global talent but will also streamline operations across 20 industries and 93 sub-sectors.
