Em Davies has shared her heartbreak at losing close friend Daniel Sheard.
Perth influencer Em Davies is mourning the sudden passing of her close friend, Daniel ‘Dan Dan’ Sheard, who died unexpectedly in his sleep on November 19. Sheard, aged 33, was engaged to Davies’ best friend, Temika Miller, and the couple had a three-month-old son named Crue. Davies expressed her profound sadness on social media, describing Sheard as a remarkable father, partner, and friend.
In a heartfelt tribute, Davies wrote, “There are no words big enough for this kind of heartbreak,” highlighting Sheard’s qualities as “the purest, the funniest, most loving, generous person.” She emphasized his role in showing love and friendship, stating, “You showed my best friend what true love really looks like and you showed me what a true friend is.” Her emotional post featured a collection of images celebrating their shared experiences, including holidays and family gatherings.
Davies, who is also a mother to baby Isla, reflected on the special bond she shared with Sheard and his family. “Being Crue’s godmother is a gift I’ll hold close for the rest of my life,” she remarked. She continued, expressing disbelief over the loss and admiration for Miller’s strength during this difficult time. “We will honour you forever. Rest easy our king. You’re so beyond loved. I love you,” she concluded.
Miller also shared her grief, stating that the love she had for Sheard was unmatched. “My heart is completely broken, and I don’t know how it will ever be whole again,” she wrote. She expressed gratitude for their son, stating, “You will live on through him in every smile, every laugh, every tiny piece of his gentle soul.”
The tragedy has drawn support from several prominent Australian content creators. Nikki Westcott expressed her condolences, saying, “This is just so heartbreaking. I’m so sorry my girl. Gone far too soon.” Rahnee Bransby also reached out, offering her sympathies, “Oh Temika, I’m so sorry. This is beyond heartbreaking. Sending so much love your way.”
In response to the financial burdens arising from this unforeseen loss, Davies has initiated a GoFundMe campaign with a target of $16,000 to assist Miller and Crue with funeral costs and other expenses. At the time of writing, the campaign has raised over $12,000. The page, titled “For Dan’s final goodbye & his world, Temika and baby Crue,” provides insight into Sheard’s character as remembered by family and friends.
“This is an unimaginable loss for Temika, for baby Crue, and for Dan’s family,” the GoFundMe page states. “No mother should ever have to face this, and no child should grow up without the chance to know just how incredible their dad was.” The campaign emphasizes a commitment to ensuring that Crue knows the legacy of his father, described as “the most loving, loyal, caring man, with a heart bigger than the world.”
The public can contribute to the GoFundMe campaign to help support the grieving family during this challenging time.
