UPDATE: Strutt has unveiled the ev1, a groundbreaking smart everyday vehicle, at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, redefining personal mobility. This innovative vehicle integrates advanced automotive technology with user-centered design, aiming to enhance independence and usability for people everywhere.

Launched today, the ev1 has already garnered significant accolades, including the 2026 CES Best of Innovation Award and the 2025 Red Dot: Luminary Award for its cutting-edge features. Strutt’s CEO, Tony Hong, emphasizes the vehicle’s mission: to empower users while providing dignity and confidence in their mobility.

For many, traditional mobility solutions fall short, failing to address the diverse needs of users, particularly the elderly. Hong shares a personal story about his grandmother’s transition from a bicycle to a tricycle, highlighting the lack of thoughtful design in existing mobility aids. “The Strutt ev1 is not just a mobility device; it is a smart everyday vehicle designed to expand people’s worlds,” said Hong.

The ev1’s design focuses on solving three critical issues: accessibility, navigation in crowded spaces, and overcoming the stigma associated with personal mobility devices. With the integration of the evSense System and the Quad-Drive System, the ev1 promises a seamless user experience, anticipating user intent and responding intuitively.

At the heart of the vehicle lies the evSense System, providing true 360-degree environmental awareness through a combination of LiDAR, cameras, and advanced sensors. This technology enhances safety with features like Co-Pilot and Co-Pilot+ modes, which proactively adjust the vehicle’s behavior to reduce collision risk.

The ev1 also introduces advanced navigation capabilities with its Pathfinder feature, allowing users to select destinations directly on the map. Utilizing a cloud-based Large Language Model, the system can interpret natural language commands for a more personalized experience.

Additionally, the vehicle boasts ev-Pilot, a riderless autonomy feature that allows the ev1 to follow its owner autonomously, enhancing convenience during short walks. Strutt plans to roll out more features through over-the-air updates, ensuring the ev1 stays current long after purchase.

Performance-wise, the Quad-Drive System equips the ev1 with four independent motors, delivering a peak torque of 120 N•m, comparable to small cars. The vehicle can reach a top speed of 8 mph (or 13 km/h) and supports a maximum payload of 350 lbs (or 160 kg), making it highly versatile.

Designed with everyday practicality in mind, the ev1 features a modular architecture that breaks down into five portable components, along with adjustable seating for personalized comfort. Its ground clearance of 80 mm (or 3.1 inches) allows for smooth maneuvering over uneven terrain.

Starting today, the Strutt ev1 is available for early-bird pre-orders at a special price of $5,299, significantly lower than the standard MSRP of $7,499. Customers can experience the ev1 at upcoming exhibitions or book trial drives via the official website.

Strutt, based in Singapore, is dedicated to redefining personal transport through innovation in robotics and design, positioning the ev1 as a pioneering solution for modern mobility challenges. For more information and to secure your own ev1, visit Strutt’s official website.
