URGENT UPDATE: A 25-year-old woman has been arrested following a shocking incident in North Albury where she allegedly lit a fire at the front of a home while a baby was inside. Emergency crews were dispatched to the Captain Cook Drive property early this morning, around 7:20 AM, after reports of flames engulfing a child seat that was deliberately set ablaze.

Firefighters from Fire and Rescue NSW swiftly arrived on the scene and managed to extinguish the flames before they could inflict significant damage to the property. Thankfully, there are no reported injuries, but the baby seat was completely destroyed in the fire which authorities believe was ignited amid a domestic dispute.

According to a spokesperson for NSW Police, officers from the Murray River Police District responded to the emergency call and confirmed the arrest of the woman, who is currently in custody at Albury Police Station. “On arrival, officers were informed that a fire had started on the front veranda of the property,”
